If you have come to The LOST Initiative expecting this to be another RPG where you can either interact with or play your favorite LOST character, then you have come to the wrong place!
The LOST Initiative is a LOST-themed RPG and won't be just like the show. We are looking for players who are interested in developing a well written story with in-depth character development.
In this sim/RPG we are eliminating all the main characters from the crash of Flight 815. Seems like a crazy move, right? Well our reasoning was that the main characters are already developed and have done almost all there is to do. We want to give people a chance to take the setting of the LOST storyline and play within that universe. Creativity and unpredictability are going to be key in this game.
As an additional dimension we are attempting to blend RPG writing with RPG gaming. What we mean by this is that there are opposing factions, just like in LOST. Also like LOST, the players will not know which side is which. As your characters move through the game, they will eventually become aligned with one side or another. Your character's actions and decisions will determine that alignment. Each faction has it's own objectives to achieve and ultimately the end game will be determined by which team achieves their objectives first.
What we hope results is an RPG that embodies the greatest things about the LOST series. The mystery, the rich storytelling, and the struggle between two forces.
The way we have designed this game will allow for LOST fans and those unfamiliar with the LOST universe to play and write side by side. No knowledge of the LOST series is required to be able to join and enjoy The LOST Initiative.
